Panchakarma(Detoxification)

It is a five-fold therapy of cleansing the body of all the unwanted waste. Panchakarma treatment is unique in the sense that it includes preventive, curative and promotive actions for various disease. Vamana, Virechana, Nasya, Vasti and Raktamokshana are the panchakarmas.

  • Vamana- It is one of the five therapies of panchakarma in Ayurveda. Vaman means Therapeutic vomiting or Medicated emesis. This treatment is done mostly in Kapha aggrevated conditions. This therapy is done for preventive & curative purposes.
  • Virechana- It is one of the five therapies of Panchakarma used for the purification of the body and mind. The very word Virechana in sanskrit means 'purging' or laxative. It pacifies pitta dosha in the body.
  • Nasya- It is one of the five therapies of panchakarma, administration of drugs through the nasal cavity is termed as nasya. It cleanses the body, helps in relieving stress, migraine, sinusitis etc.
  • Vasti- It is enema done with ayurvedic herbal oils or decoctions, one of the five therapies of Panchakarma. Mostly used in treating diseases related to vata.
  • Raktamokshana- It is one of the five therapies of Panchakarma. It derives its name from Rakta meaning 'blood'and mokshana meaning 'liberation'. This treatment literally 'releases' impure blood from the system. It is helpful in conditions with swelling, inflammation and in skin diseases.
